Our Story

Founded in September 2009, The Little Ark Pre-School is a warm and nurturing early years setting located within the grounds of John Wesley CEMP School. We enjoy a close and collaborative relationship with the school, enriching our community and supporting smooth transitions for our children as they move on to other educational settings.

As a registered charity, we are independently funded and managed by a dedicated committee made up of both pre-school and school staff. This structure allows us to maintain a child-focused approach while fostering strong educational partnerships.

We are registered to care for up to 28 children aged 2½ to 4 years, offering a safe and  stimulating environment where every child can thrive. Our curriculum follows the Early Development Matters Framework, ensuring high standards in learning, development, and care.

To keep parents closely involved in their child’s journey, we use Tapestry, an online learning journal that provides regular updates and insights into each child’s progress and experiences.
